Sometimes we don't succeed in life on the level we hope for because our aim is to good. All too often we start a Consultant or Success Coaching business and think we must focus (aim) on clients who themselves are new or growing. As a result, we stay a smaller entity than we should.
Many new businesses- in fact most- don't last long. Where does that leave you when you, as a new business, focus your efforts on new enterprises? Not in a very lucrative place! Unfortunately, this is when your aim is to good! You seek business in this pool and you get it. It's fine to have clients who are just starting out. But if that is your base, your in a bad spot.
Have you ever thought about businesses who are very successful or who have grown consistently? I find that they often are not ready for the new challenges growth and success brings. Why would you not spend some of your efforts there? The only thing stopping you is your own mind! It takes the same amount of time and effort to make a proposal to a muti-million dollar corporation as it does a mom and pop.
Are you afraid of heights? Look up, the sun won't blind you. There are eagles soaring, you should be there too! Stop aiming at the ducks in the pond; there're going nowhere!
